Prayer Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent herein to consider the petitioner's application dated 29.08.2025 vide application No 2025/0105/09/365544 and consequently, to survey the lands of the petitioner situated at Namakkal Distirct, Mallasamudram Sub-division Thiruchengode Taluk, Mamundi Village comprised in S.No.15/5 and 15/7 and also issue the sub division patta along with help of the 2nd respondent police For Petitioner : Mr.R.Ramesh For Respondent-1 : Mr.D.Ravi Chander Special Government Pleader For Respondent- 2 : Mr.L.Baskaran Government Advocate 1/6
Order Heard Mr.R.Ramesh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.Ravi Chander, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the first respondent and Mr.L.Baskaran, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for respondent No.2. Since the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself, this Court is of the view that the third respondent need not be served with any notice. Accordingly, notice to the third respondent is dispensed with.

This Writ Petition is filed for the following relief;- i) For issuance of a mandamus directing the 1st respondent herein to consider the petitioner's application dated 29.08.2025 and consequently, to survey the lands of the petitioner situated at Namakkal Distirct, Mallasamudram Sub-division Thiruchengode Taluk, Mamundi Village comprised in S.No.15/5 and 15/7 and also issue the sub division patta along with help of the 2nd respondent police.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner filed an application to the first respondent seeking for survey of his land and 2/6
to transfer patta in his name in respect of the aforementioned properties,. However, as on date, the petitioner has not been favoured with any response from the respondents. Hence, the present Writ Petition.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader for respondent No.1 fairly submitted that the application made by the petitioner would be considered and appropriate steps would be taken by the respondentAuthority for survey of the petitioner's property within the time as stipulated by this Court.

The learned Government Advocate for second respondent would submit that the respondent-Police would render all possible assistance, enabling the revenue officials to survey the petitioner's property, in case, at the time of survey of the petitioner's property, any obstruction is being caused by third respondent or any other third parties, appropriate action would be taken against them.
6. Considering the limited scope of the prayer, sought for in this 3/6
Writ Petition and in view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 and 2 respectively, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the application made by the petitioner dated 29.08.2025 and take suitable steps for conducting a survey in the petitioner's property and demarcate the same by metes and bounds and issue sub-division patta after giving notice to all the interested parties, particularly, third respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to say, in the event, any obstruction is being caused by the third respondent or any third parties, second respondent-Police is directed to take appropriate action against them in the manner known to law and shall render all kinds of assistance, as required, by the Revenue Officials for demarcation of the subject property. No costs.
