J U D G M E N T
(Judgment of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.) The claim of the petitioner that promotion to the post of District Extension Educator was rejected by the Government on the ground that the 1/4
appellant neither belonged to the feeder category nor she was qualified for Government employment as she had not completed the required school education namely, 10+2. The appellant, who had passed 10th standard had directly obtained M.A.Sociology degree through Open University System.
2. As per the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016, particularly, the explanation to Section 25 provides that a person who obtains a post graduate degree without completing 10+2+3 from any University or Institutions, he or she shall not be deemed to qualify for appointment. The Writ Court had found that the appellant did not belong to feeder category and that her qualification is not recognized. Therefore, we see no reason to interfere with the order of the writ Court. This Writ Appeal fails and it is accordingly, dismissed. No costs.
