O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.249 of 2023 dated 25.10.2023 pending on the file of the respondent police within a stipulated period.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that one of the accused in the said case is absconding and he is hiding in foreign country. Hence, he seeks time to complete the investigation and he has also given undertaking that the respondent police will complete the investigation within a period of three months.

4. In view of the above submission, the respondent Police is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the abovesaid direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
