Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to issue suitable directions to take necessary action not to dismantle a building situated S.No.89/7 located at Sub Registrar Office, Poolankulam Village, Uthukuli Taluk, Tiruppur District and to issue suitable directions to build the proposed new building in available area at Sub Registrar Office, Kunnathur by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 17.10.2023.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Ms.P.Sharmila, learned counsel appearing for Mr.Krishnasamy Chinnasamy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.K.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondents may be directed not to demolish the building situated in S.No.89/7, situated at Sub Registrar Office, Poolankulam Village, Uthukuli Taluk, Tiruppur District. It is submitted that the subject building is constructed 110 years back and it is a heritage building.

3. Learned Government Advocate, on instructions, submits that the petitioner has been communicated on 18.12.2023 that the subject building would not be demolished.

4. In the light of the above, the apprehension of the petitioner stands redressed. The writ petition, accordingly, stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
