O R D E R

Since the petitioner's representation dated 30.05.2023 seeking to issue a joint patta and the recommendation of respondents 4 and 5 dated 17.08.2023, which recommend the issuance of a joint patta to the petitioner and his brother, with reference to the property comprised in survey No.91C1L, measuring about 49 cents situated at Pinnathurai Village, Anaicut Taluk, Vellore District, have not been considered by the 3rd respondent, to date, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. Heard the counsels on either side.

3. Considering the limited prayer that is sought and taking into account the fact that it is over one and a half years since the representation has been made, a mandamus is issued to the 3rd respondent to consider the 2/5

petitioner's representation dated 30.05.2023 and recommendation of the respondents 4 and 5 dated 17.08.2023 for joint patta, after issuing notice to all the interest parties and pattadars, hearing their objections and thereafter pass orders. In case of a rejection a speaking order shall be passed. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is allowed. No costs. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 25.11.2024 (shr) Index : Yes/No Speaking Order: Yes/No 3/5
