ORDER

This civil revision petition is filed seeking direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Vellore to dispose of the DVC No.13 of 2023, within a time limit. The petitioner/wife has filed the above said complaint against the respondent under Section 12 of Domestic Violence Act.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the petition was taken on file as early as on 19.06.2023, enquiry not yet commenced and hence, direction may be issued to the learned Magistrate to dispose of the above matter expeditiously.

3. A perusal of the adjudication papers, filed before this court, would indicate that the respondent filed his counter as early as on 26.09.2023. Thereafter, the matter was adjourned from time to time for enquiry and now the

case stands posted for recording evidence of the petitioner. Taking into consideration the fact that there is no progress in the matter for the past two years, the Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Vellore is directed to dispose of the case in DVC No.13 of 2023, as expeditiously as possible.

4. With the above direction, this civil revision petition is allowed. There shall be no order as to costs.
