ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Sub Court at Ambattur to dispose the S.C.No.53 of 2021, as expeditiously as possible within a period of stipulated time.

The contention of the petitioner is that based on the complaint lodged by the de facto complainant, a case in Crime No.505 of 2016 was registered by the respondent for the offence under Sections 341, 294(b), 336, 392, 397 and 506(ii) of IPC and for the same set of allegations, another Crime No.504 of 2016 was registered for offences under Sections 341 and 384 of IPC. After completion of investigation, a charge sheet was filed and taken cognizance in the year 2021 in S.C.No.53 of 2021 on the file of the Sub Court, Ambattur. However, despite the lapse of time, there has been no progress in the trial. Hence, the present petition has been filed seeking a direction to dispose of the case.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case that the case pertains to the year 2016 and despite the filing of the charge sheet in the year 2021, the trial is still pending, the Sub Court, Ambattur, is directed to complete the trial in S.C.No.53 of 2021 as expeditiously as possible.
