Ms.S.Sumathi, Administrator General & Official Trustee of TamilNadu for Respondent Order The present application has been instituted seeking a direction to the respondents to grant lease of the property situated at No.125, Audiappa Naickan Street, Chennai 600 001 in favour of the applicant for a period of 30 years.

2. Learned counsel for the applicant would submit that the applicant is ready and willing to pay a sum of Rs.1,80,000/- per month as lease rent. However, the learned Administrative General would submit that on earlier auction conducted, the highest bidder one Mr.Sumith Jain offered a sum of Rs.4,25,000/- in respect of the subject land and the auction was confirmed. Since the highest bidder did not come forward to execute the lease agreement the earnest money deposit was forfeited. Therefore the lease can be executed if the applicant is ready and willing to pay a sum of Rs.4,25,000/- as monthly rent and not otherwise.

3. In the present case, the applicant has offered a sum of Rs.1,80,000/- per month and therefore this court is not inclined to consider the relief as such sought for in the present application. Consequently, the present application stands dismissed.
