praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.08.2025 and to issue a patta to the petitioner for the house premises in survey No. 31/1 situated at door no. 149, Athivakkam Village, Aattuputhur, P.O., Kancheepuram Taluk, Kancheepuram District.

O R D E R

Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the stage of admission itself.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.08.2025 and to issue a patta to the petitioner for the house premises in survey No. 31/1 situated at door no. 149, Athivakkam Village, Aattuputhur, P.O., Kancheepuram Taluk, Kancheepuram District.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is residing in the aforesaid address with his family for morethan 30 years and living below the poverty line and he is a landless poor. Hence, he made a representation to the respondents on 18.08.2025 for issuance of patta to the petitioner to the aforesaid property. As the same did not evoke any response, the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking for the aforesaid relief.

4. Further, he would submit that the petitioner is entitled for patta in terms of G.O.(Ms)No.97 dated 21.02.2025. He therefore prays for a direction to the respondents to issue a patta to the petitioner for the aforesaid premises by considering the petitioner's representation.

5. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that that the respondent concerned would consider the petitioner's representation for issuance of patta and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within the time to be stipulated by this Court. 3/6

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also upon the submissions made, this Court without going into the merits of the case directs the respondent concerned to consider and pass orders on the representation filed by the petitioner dated 18.08.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner and also affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as any of the interested parties and also considering the G.O.(Ms.)No.97 dated 21.02.2025 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
