: Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorari to quash G.O.Ms.No.209, dated 23.11.2022, to the extent it proposes the inclusion of Kuthambakkam village into Thirumazhisai Municipality, and further issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents not to proceed with any merger or development activities in Kuthambakkam Village unless due constitutional, environmental, and legal procedures are strictly followed.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) As against the allegation of merging Kuthambakkam village with Thirumazhisai Municipality, upon instructions, learned State counsel submits that till date, there is no proposal to include the said village with Thirumazhisai Municipality and the petition has been filed without any basis.
2. A copy of the Collector's status report is also placed for our perusal, and the same is taken on record.
