Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents particularly the respondents 2 and 3 to complete all the land acquisition proceedings and to pay the fair compensation for the subject acquired property, situated at Moolakadu village, Rasipuram Taluk Namakkal District comprised in (i) Punja S.No.27/3A, 0.27.50 hectare (0.68cents) and (ii) S.No.38/1B, 0.33.00 hectare (0.82 cents and (i) Punja New S.No.27/3C (Old s.No.27/3), 0.80 1/ 2 cents (0.37.50 hectare)out of acre 1.70 cents on the basis of representation dated 08.07.2024, 02.08.2024. 2. Heard the counsels on either side.

3. Today, a note of the Special Tahsildar Adi Dravidar Welfare Officer, Namakkal has been produced. The said note is extracted hereinbelow:- 3/6

Recording the same, the Writ Petition is disposed of stating that in the light of the specific stand taken by the 3rd respondent that the lands are not required the same shall revert back to the petitioners and the petitioners can deal with the property as they deemed fit and the same shall not be opposed by the respondents.

5. The petitioners are also aggrieved by the fact that all these years the lands have been kept by the respondents without giving any compensation to them. Therefore, it is open to the petitioners to work out their remedy in the manner known to law. No costs. 21.01.2025 (shr) Index : Yes/No Speaking Order: Yes/No 4/6
