The petitioners/A1,A2 seek anticipatory bail in Crime No.492 of 2023 registered by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 7, r/w 20(1) of Cigarettes and other Tobacco Products Act and Sections 273 and 328 of IPC.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the petitioners are only loadmen who were loading the banned tobacco products in Eicher van. But the banned tobacco was not of small quantity, but with weight of 2,471.136 kgs. The petitioner should have informed the respondent police about this particular act. They participated in the offence by ensuring that more than 2000 kgs of banned tobacco products were supplied to various parts and transported in Eicher van.

3. Taking into consideration, the quantity of banned tobacco products, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
