ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 22.06.2025 for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(C) and 29(1) of Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 in Crime No.38 of 2025, registered on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

When the matter was earlier listed before this Court on 23.09.2025, there was no representation for the petitioner and even today, there is no representation for the petitioner. 3.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent while opposing the bail to the petitioner submits that there are totally 5 accused in this case and the petitioner herein is arrayed as A1; that the quantity of contraband involved in this case is 20.500 kilograms of Ganja, which is a commercial quantity; and that the investigation is pending.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the 2/4

quantity of contraband involved in this case is of commercial quantity and the fact that the investigation of this case is pending, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
