O R D E R

The petitioner has approached this Court challenging the order of bail cancellation.

2. Originally, the petitioner was granted bail by an order dated 30.09.2024 in Crl.M.P.No.58945 of 2024 passed by the learned X Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore. The petitioner was directed to pay the remaining sum of Rs.23 lakhs. Since the said condition was not complied with, the de-facto complainant approached the concerned Court, and the bail granted to the petitioner was cancelled. Challenging the said order , the petitioner has filed the present petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that due to their inability to sell the property, the petitioner could not deposit the amount and therefore sought some more time to make the payment.

4. I have also perused the reasons recorded by the learned Magistrate for cancelling the bail. Since the bail was granted subject to the condition of paying the balance amount of Rs.23 lakhs and the same has not been complied with, the cancellation of bail cannot be faulted with. Though the petitioner seeks some more time for payment, this

Court is not inclined to accept the same.

5. This Court is not inclined to extend the time for payment, as the cancellation of bail has already been ordered by the learned X Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai. Accordingly, I am of the considered view that the order cancelling the bail does not warrant any interference.
