ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 4(1)(A) of The Tamilnadu Prohibition (Amendment) Act, 2024 in Crime No.111 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail. The earlier anticipatory bail petition of the petitioner in Crl.O.P.No.22494 of 2025 was dismissed by this Court, vide order dated 13.08.2025.

The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 100 Mclene Brandy bottles (each containing 180 ml). Hence, this case.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was falsely implicated in this case and he is ready to abide by any condition that may be imposed by this Court and sought for anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent while opposing the anticipatory bail to the petitioner, reiterated the prosecution case and states that the petitioner has fifty 2/4

previous cases of similar nature; and that the investigation is pending. 5.

Considering the facts, nature of allegation, the previous antecedents of the petitioner and there is no change of circumstances after the dismissal of the earlier anticipatory bail petition in Crl.O.P.No.22494 of 2025, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6.
