Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to take necessary action preventing from convert the agricultural lands as house site plots based on the representation of the petitioner dated 04.11.2023.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.D.Ashok Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 4.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that agricultural land is sought to be converted into house sites. The same shall not be permitted.

3. The present petition is bereft of any documents. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, resolution is passed by the panchayat for converting the agricultural land into house sites. A copy of the said resolution is also not placed on record. In absence of relevant documents, no orders can be passed. In case the same process is pending, the petitioner can raise objections with the appropriate authority.

4. With these observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
