Mr.A.Selvendran, SGP COMMON ORDER The limited relief sought in these writ petitions is for an early disposal of the claim petitions both dated 28.12.2023 filed by the petitioner before the first respondent and to conduct arbitration proceedings in accordance with the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996 read with Section 3G(5) & (6) of the National Highways Act.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader accepting notice for the respondents.

3. In respect of the properties acquired, the petitioner preferred two claim petitions before the first respondent both dated 28.12.2023. Despite passage of nearly a year, no steps have been taken to hear the above claim petitions.

4. Hence, without going into the merits of the case, the writ petitions are allowed and a Mandamus is issued to the first respondent to consider the claim petitions filed by the petitioner both dated 28.12.2023 and pass appropriate orders. The above exercise shall be 2/4

completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. The learned Special Government Pleader is entitled to separate fees in each of the cases. 17.12.2024 To
