Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the representation dated 12/09/2023 in accordance with G.O.MS.No. 1300 Revenue Department dated 30/04/1971 and in accordance with law. For Petitioners : Mr.G.Surya Narayanan For Respondents : Mr.A.Selvendran Special Government Pleader

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the representation dated 12/09/2023 in accordance with G.O.MS.No. 1300 Revenue Department dated 30/04/1971 and in accordance with law.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 12/09/2023, after issuing notice to the petitioner/rival claimants/interested parties/ objectors if any, as the case may be, and after giving opportunity of hearing to all the parties, pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. The abovesaid exercise shall be completed within a period as stipulated in the Circular No. R1/2005632/2022 dated 17.07.2023 issued by the Commissioner of Land Administration.

4. With the abovesaid direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. W.M.P.No.369 of 2024 is ordered on payment of separate court fees by each of the petitioners. 09.02.2024 mfa Index:Yes/No Speaking Order: Yes/No
