Appln.No.353 of 2024 in I.P.No.26 of 2023 Application No.353 of 2024 in I.P.No.26 of 2023 P.B.BALAJI,J., The Official Assignee has filed Report today stating that in compliance of the earlier order passed by this Court, one of the properties at Thethurai Village, Cheyyar Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District in survey No.282/3, New Survey No.282/14, measuring to an extent of 2469 sq.ft in favour of Mr.M.Mohamed Asif, has been brought for sale in public auction on 21.10.2024 after effecting wide publication in one issue of Tamil Daily "Maalai Malar" of Chennai edition, covering Thiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Chengleput, Thiruvannamalai and Villupuram District. The said publication was effected on 26.09.2024. The Earnest Money Deposit was fixed as Rs.50,000/- and the upset price was fixed as Rs.5,00,000/-.

2. 29 bids were received and 5 bidders participated in the auction and one, Mr.M.Mohamed Asif was declared as the highest bidder for Rs.14,25,000/-. Mr.M.Mohamed Asif has also deposited Rs.3,56,250/-, being 25% of the bid amount vide RT Nos.15347 dated 21.10.2024 and 15352 dated 28.10.2024 respectively.

3. Learned counsel for the insolvent is present.

4. Considering the fact that the property has been brought for sale pursuant to the orders of this Court, there is no impediment for confirming the sale of the property at Thethurai Village, Cheyyar Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District in Survey No.282/3, New Survey No.282/14 measuring to an extent of 2469 sq.ft in favour of Mr.M.Mohamed Asif.

5. In view of the above, the Application (IP) No.353 of 2024 is ordered.
