Apprehending arrest in connection with Crime No.437 of 2024 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 112 and 318(4) of BNS r/w. Sections 7(1) and 7(3) of Lotteries Regulation Act, the present petition has been filed seeking anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 22.10.2024, at about 02.00 p.m, while the respondent police along with their team conducted a raid at Panankadu near Om Sakthi Hotel, at that time, the accused/A1 & A2 were standing there, on seeing the police team, they tried to escape from there and the respondent police caught hold the accused/A1 & A2 and enquired them and found that they were selling banned other State Lottery Tickets to the general public. During investigation, it was found that the petitioner has supplied the lottery tickets to the co-accused for selling purpose. Hence the case.

3. Pleading innocence on the part of the petitioner, false implication in the case, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks indulgence of this court. He would further submit that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court.

dsn petitioner has colluded with other accused/A-1 & A-2, and illegally selling banned lottery tickets to the general public. He would submit that on 12.11.2024, anticipatory bail against the petitioner was dismissed as withdrawn. He would further submit that the petitioner has got 29 previous cases.

5. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police and perused the materials available on record.

6. Taking into consideration the above facts and circumstances of the case, the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and the bad antecedents against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
