ORDER

The writ petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to disconnect the E.B. Service connection situated at Thopputhurai South Street, near the burial ground, Vedaranyam Taluk, Nagapattinam District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 14.11.2023 2/5

Regarding the relief sought for in the present writ petition, the learned counsel for the Electricity Board TANGEDCO made a submission that the electricity service connection has already been disconnected. However the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that yet another connection is being used in an illegal manner by the private respondent.

3. Therefore, the respondent nos. 2 to 6 are directed to conduct field inspection and ascertain the genuinity of the usage of electricity service connection in the subject premises and if any illegality is identified, then all such service connections are to be disconnected in the manner known to law. The inspection is directed to be conducted within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
