The petitioner/A1 in Crime No.32 of 2023 registered by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 406 and 420 of IPC and Sections 4(1), 76(1) of the Chit Fund Act seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the petitioner along with A2 and A3 are running a chit company. A3 had been granted bail. However, it is the specific case in the FIR that all the three accused persons were running the chit company under the name of Women Social Welfare Organization Trust Chit Fund Company. They solicited investments.

3. It is the specific case of the prosecution that from 16 separate persons, a total sum of Rs.39,39,000/- had been collected. So far as the present petitioner is concerned, a sum of Rs.4,00,000/- had been collected.

4. It is stated by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) that the petitioner's earlier anticipatory bail application was dismissed on 07.11.2023 in Crl.OP.No.23571 of 2023 and there are no significant

change in circumstances.

5. Status Report had also been filed by the respondent, wherein, it had also been stated that further investigation will have to be conducted and the interrogation of the petitioner is required.

6. In view of all these aspects, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
