ORDER

Today, the matter is listed under the caption "For Being Mentioned".

2. It is stated that the earlier order was erroneous, hence the earlier order is recalled and the following order is passed in this Suo Motu TR.No.14701 of 2025:

"The case in STC.No.100014 of 1988 was taken on the file of the Principal District Court, Chengalpattu Taluk, Chengalpattu for the alleged offences under Sections 120B r/w 301, 302 and 436, 109 of IPC r/w Sec 12(b) of Passport Act. It is stated that there was a bomb blast and killing in the Airport which is a serious offence that took place in the year 1984. It is submitted that this is a case in respect of A2 and A9 alone. Both of them are not traced out. It is stated that in respect of other accused, the Trial Court proceeded and convicted them. However, on trial, all of them were acquitted by the High Court. Suo Motu TR.No.14701 of 2025 2.It is also submitted that these two accused are suspected to have gone to their native country namely Srilanka. It is stated by the respondent police no useful outcome will be served and they are willing to close the case itself. Considering the fact that similarly placed accused are already acquitted and the same reasons will also apply to this case and the accused persons remain completely elusive and there is no scope for bringing them to books. The case is kept pending unnecessarily and any further continuance after 31 years will not give any fruiful result. Considering the aforesaid reasons, this is an appropriate case for the exercise of jurisdiction under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

3. Accordingly, the case in STC.No.100014 of 1988 on the file of the Principal District Court, Chengalpattu Taluk, Chengalpattu stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of."

3. Registry is directed to upload the corrected order copy to the Court concerned.
