Due to property dispute, the petitioner herein fears danger to his life at the hands of the respondents 2 to 5 and hence made a representation to the police to provide protection.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police states that the petitioner herein claiming right over the property, which is presently in the possession of the respondents 2 to 5, try to reserve his possession, hence the dispute. The Revenue Divisional Officer has passed an order in favour of the petitioner. However, the private respondents have preferred an appeal against the order and same is pending. In this circumstances, police cannot give any protection to the petitioner. As far as the enjoyment of the property, it will be ensured that there is no danger at the hands of the respondents 2 to 5 in respect of life and limb of the petitioner and his family members.
