The petitioner, who was arrested on 21.7.2025 by the respondent police in connection with Crime No.200 of 2025, for offences punishable under Section 4(1)(c) and 4(1) (A) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition (Amendment) Act, 2024, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that he was found in possession of 80 bottles of 180 ml Black Breal Brandy. Hence, the present case.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the co-accused has already been arrested and released on bail. Hence, he prayed for the grant of anticipatory bail.
4. Per contra, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that no previous case is pending against the petitioner and, however investigation is pending, opposed the grant of anticipatory bail.
5. Heard the learned counsel on both sides and perused the materials available on record.
