The petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the respondent to make payment of legal fees at the rate of Rs.5,000/- each for Annexure A cases; Rs.150/- for each Annexure B cases and Rs.500/- for each Annexure C cases, to him.

2. According to the petitioner, he is an Advocate enrolled in the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu vide Enrolment No.932/89, presently practicing in Vellore. He was appointed as Additional Standing Counsel to take up Government cases vide order dated 23.05.2000 of the Government of India. He was entrusted with 300 L.A.O.P. cases under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act to Sub-Court at Ranipet. He filed Vakalat, counter and conducted cases and decrees were obtained. It is his further case that he invested huge amount and obtained decrees and judgments and handed over the same to the respondent. The grievance of the petitioner is that he is entitled to legal fees https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

and retainer fees and though he had sent a letter dated 24.07.2003 to the respondent, there is no response from them. Hence, he has come up with the present Writ Petition.

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel appearing for the respondent represented that if the petitioner produces the Bills in the prescribed format along with a copy of the judgments and decrees, the respondent is willing to settle the fees due to him, if not already paid.

4. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to produce necessary Bills in the prescribed format to the respondent along with a copy of the judgments and decrees and on receipt of the same, the respondent shall pay the legal fees due to the petitioner. It is made clear that whenever Bills are produced by the petitioner in the prescribed format, the same may be settled to the petitioner without any further delay. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
