The petitioner seeks bail in Crime No.14 of 2023, registered by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 417 and 376 of IPC. The petitioner had been arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 12.10.2023.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the petitioner and the de-facto complainant were relationship for past 4 years. They also had physical relationship. Thereafter, though he promised to marry her, he then stated that he would marry the girl whom his mother and grand-father pointout. When the mother of the de-facto complainant approached the mother of the petitioner/accused she also stated that the accused would marry only the girl whom she pointed out. The 164(5) Cr.P.C statement of the de-facto complainant had been recorded and it is clear that she had reiterated statements made in the complaint.

3. In view of that particular fact, and in order to give her confidence to tender evidence before the Court, this bail petition stands dismissed. It may be considered after the evidence of the de-facto complainant in chief and in cross-examination is completed.
