Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the application of legal heir certificate submitted by the petitioner to the respondent dated 21.11.2019 and consequential relief directing the respondent to issue legal heir certificate in favour of the petitioner. Heard Counsel, By consent the writ petition itself is taken up for consideration. The petitioner sister J.Manorama had expired on 11.12.2007 as a spinster. The petitioner's brother J.Nelson had filed a suit in O.S.No.187 of 2009 claiming legal heirship certificate and also obtained such a decree. The said brother also died intestate on 20.01.2015 and another brother of the petitioner Jimmy Rames also died on 29.10.2017. The petitioner claims that he is the only legal heir for his sister and he applied for legal heirship certificate. He had given a representation in this regard on 21.11.2019 seeking legal heirship certificate.

2. Heard Mr.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader. It is only appropriate that the writ of mandamus is issued to the Thasildar, Alandur Taluk, to enquire into the matter and also enquire any other person interested and also issue notice to the petitioner herein and give him opportunity of personal hearing and thereafter, pass appropriate orders at any rate on or before 31.01.2020.

3. With the above observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
