This petition has been filed to enlarge the petitioner on bail in CC No. 9 of 2023 pending on the file of the Special Judge, TNPID Court, Chennai.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the M/s. Aarudhra Gold Trading Pvt. Ltd. said to have collected to the tune of Rs.2438 crores from the 1,09,255/- depositors by giving false promise that it would give 25 to 30% return for their investments but thereafter they failed to honor the promises and cheated the depositors. Hence, the case.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was the director of Trichy branch in the said company and he also invested in the said company but he has been falsely implicated in this case and also final report has been filed in this case. Further, co-accused have been released on bail. Hence, he prays to allow this petition.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) submits that the petitioner and others cheated to tune of Rs.2438 crores from the general public by giving false promise and cheated amount has not been recovered yet. Further, he stated that petitioner is director of the Trichy branch, where 288 depositors were cheated. Hence, he prays to dismiss this petition.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that there is no change is circumstances after dismissing the previous bail petition. Hence, this Court is not inclined to allow this petition. Accordingly, this petition is dismissed.
