This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the F.I.R. in Crime No.232 of 2023 dated 26.04.2023 on the file of the Sub Inspector of Police, D-6 Pothatturpet Police Station, Thiruvallur District.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent/Police, on instructions, submitted that on completion of investigation in Crime No.232 of 2023, the first respondent/Police has closed the case as 'Further Action Dropped'. Thereafter, the closure report was filed before the District Munsif-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Pallipattu on 20.06.2024. Hence, the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous.

3. In view of the above submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, nothing survives for adjudication in this petition and hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. However, the 2/4

petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
