ORDER

This Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st Respondent to de-freeze and operate the petitioner's Bank Account No.00000020204819962 maintained in the 1st Respondent Bank within the time frame.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the 1st respondent. Though notice was ordered as early as on 23.09.2025 and served on the 2nd respondent, there is no appearance for the 2nd respondent.

3. On going through the entire documents placed on record, it is seen that the petitioner is having bank account with the 1st respondent and in pursuant to the registration of FIR, the 2nd respondent directed the 1st respondent to freeze the bank account of the petitioner. Accordingly, the 1st respondent has frozen the bank account of the petitioner, which is lying in petitioner's Account No.00000020204819962. On instructions, it is the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the 1st respondent that the disputed amount is Rs.1,00,000/- [Rupees One Lakh only], which was transferred in favour of the petitioner to her Bank Account.

4. In view of the above, the 1st respondent is directed to mark a lien over the petitioner's Bank Account No.00000020204819962 to the tune of Rs.1,00,000/- [Rupees One Lakh only] and permit the petitioner to operate for the remaining amount.

With the above said observation, the present Petition is disposed of. No costs.
