Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 6 to pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 07.06.2023 to remove the encroachment of respondents 7 to 15 and restore the PWD canal at Ariyappampalayam Village, Sathyamangalam Taluk. ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Ms.S.R.Aadhi Sree, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Karthik Jagannath, learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 to 6.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that encroachment has been made on the Public Works Department canal near the land of the petitioner. Learned counsel further submits that representation has been given, but cognisance of the same has not been taken.

3. Learned Government Advocate refers to the Government Order bearing G.O.Ms.No.64 dated 08.02.2022 and submits that the petitioner may approach the Committee constituted under the said Government Order.

4. In the light of that, the present writ petition stands disposed of. The petitioner may approach the Committee, as constituted under G.O.Ms.No.64 dated 08.02.2022. There will be no order as to costs. (S.V.G., CJ.) (D.B.C., J.) 19.12.2023 Index :
