Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.09.2024 and thereby direct the respondents to transfer the patta from the vendor's vendor name into the petitioner name as per the sale deed in document No.2137 / 2013 dated 12.06.2013 on the file of Joint Registrar Office 1/5

The petitioner's request for transfer of patta made on 05.09.2024 to the respondents on the basis of the sale in his favour has evoked no response, constraining the petitioner to approach this Court.
2. A perusal of the documents and affidavit filed in support of the writ petition would indicate that the property which belonged to one Govindharajuu was sold to the petitioner's vendor, Krishnan. The said Krishnan represented by his power agent Ellappan, had sold the property to the petitioner under a registered sale deed dated 12.06.2013.

3. On the strength of the purchase, the petitioner made an application dated 05.09.2024, for transfer of patta. The application has not been acted upon.
4. Therefore, considering the fact that for over 2 months the petitioner's representation for transfer of patta has been kept on hold, the Writ Petition is allowed. A mandamus is issued directing the 3rd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, for issue of patta. In case of a rejection, a speaking order shall be passed. The said exercise shall be completed, within a period of 8 weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order
5. The Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
