Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to carryout the correction in FMB Sketch as per the original land available in the field in Survey No.109/5N, in Urankani Village, Sankarapuram Taluk, Kallakurichi District by considering petitioner's representation dated 26.03.2025.

ORDER

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the respondent to carry out the correction in FMB Sketch as per the original land available in the field in Survey No.109/5N, in Urankani Village, Sankarapuram Taluk, Kallakurichi District by considering petitioner's representation dated 26.03.2025.

2. Mr.P.Ganesan, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself. 2/6

The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner purchased a property comprised in S.No.109/5N and 109/8, to a total extent of 47 1/4 cents from one Durairaj and his brother Rajendiran and Thankarasu. This being the case, as per patta and A-register, the original extent of petitioner's land in S.No.109/5N was 0.03.0 Ares only, however, the same was wrongly mentioned in the FMB sketch. In order to rectify the same, the petitioner approached the respondents 4 & 5. But no action was taken. Therefore, he sent a representation dated 26.03.2025, seeking rectification of land extent in FMB sketch at S.No.109/5N. However, the respondents have not passed any order, till date. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.

4. Though many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.03.2025.

5. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 3/6

submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 26.03.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders passed within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.03.2025, after giving due notice and opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as aggrieved persons, if any and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No 4/6

costs.
