The petitioner seeks bail in Crime No.22 of 2023, registered by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 417, 376(2)(n), 294(b) & 506(i) of IPC. The petitioner had been remanded to custody on 19.11.2023. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the petitioner and the defacto complainant were in a live in relationship and that the defacto complainant knew about the consequences.

3.It is also stated that the defacto complainant had a relationship with another person and a child has now been born to the defacto complainant. After three months, the DNA of the child has to be taken and the petitioner's DNA also has to be taken and that has to be compared to determine the paternity. If the petitioner alleges against the conduct of the defacto complainant then it is only appropriate that he is restrained till his DNA is compared.
