PRAYER: Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records of the 2nd respondent in connection with order made in No.C3/D.O.No.03/2024 dated 09.11.2024, passed against the petitioner's son viz., Imdad Shariff, S/o.Ahamad Basha, aged 29 years, who is confined at Central Prison, Vellore and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu before this Court, set him at liberty. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the impugned detention order has not been approved by the Government in G.O.Rt.No.8056, Home, Prohibition and Excise (IX) Department, dated 20.11.2024.

2. Thus, the impugned detention order stands nullified by the order of the Government. Accordingly, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
