This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the FIR No.127 of 2022 dated 22.06.2022 on the file of the first respondent-Police. Page Nos.1/4

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the first respondentPolice, on instructions, submitted that the allegations against the petitioner is that the petitioner has conducted a chit and received huge amount from the subscribers and not repaid the said amount. Based on the complaint given by the second respondent/de-facto complainant a case in Crime No.127 of 2022 was registered against the petitioner for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 420 and 506(1) IPC and Section 76(1) of the Chit Funds Act, 1982. He further submitted that now, the investigation is over and the charge sheet will be filed within a period of one week.

3. In view of the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this Court is not inclined to quash FIR in Crime No.127 of 2022 at this stage. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
