PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent dated 31.10.2023 in No.520/BCDFGISSSV/2023 against the petitioner's son Thiru.Thameem Ansari, M/A.28, S/o.Babu, who is confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai and to set aside the same and consequently direct the respondents to produce the detenu before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.7120, Home, Prohibition and Excise (X) Department, dated 20.12.2023, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
