ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This petition has been filed alleging that roads at Kattupakkam Village are being constructed without complying with the standard parameters of strength and other requirements, as per the specifications of the Indian Road Congress.

2. The petitioner claims to have collected certain samples and got them tested in the lab. The samples collected by the petitioner cannot be accepted as authentic because a common man cannot be allowed to collect sample and send it to the lab.

3. However, the petitioner may submit a complaint to the Block Development Officer. The Block Development Officer shall verify whether the construction of roads is under periodical check up. The said verification shall be done from various records and reports

submitted during construction of roads from time to time as per the prevalent manuals relating to construction of roads. Thereafter, if necessary, directions may be issued.

4. The petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
