The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent Police to comply with the order passed by the learned Metropolitan Magistrate (for exclusive trial of cases registered and investigated by CCB Greater Chennai Police), Egmore, Chennai, in Crl.M.P.No.6434 of 2025 by an order dated 21.06.2025 Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
The petitioner, who is serving a Chief Manager in a nationalized bank, lodged a complaint alleging premeditated criminal conspiracy misappropriation of the bank's loan funds and criminal breach of trust by filing an inflated valuation report. On the petitioner's complaint, the first respondent conducted an enquiry and filed a closure report stating that the dispute was civil in nature. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner filed a protest petition in Crl.M.P.No.6434 of 2025 before the Metropolitan Magistrate (for exclusive trial of cases registered and investigated by CCB Greater Chennai Police), Egmore, Chennai. The said report has not been 2/5
accepted by the learned Magistrate and he ordered detailed further enquiry on the petitioner's complaint once again since the complaint concerned about public money and directed to file report as soon as possible. 4.
Today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on instructions, submitted that pursuant to the order passed by the learned Magistrate, a further enquiry was conducted by the first respondent and a report was filed on 14.07.2025.

In such view of the matter, the learned Magistrate concerned is directed to apply his mind and take into account the nature of the complaint regarding impersonation, inflation of the report and cheating, consider the report and if not satisfied, he may also order further investigation in this matter.

Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with above directions.
