ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.06.2022.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the petitioner's wife, who worked as a Public Welfare Officer, had passed away

due to COVID pandemic. Hence, according to the petitioner, he is entitled for compensation under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Scheme. Therefore, he gave a representation dated 27.06.2022 before the 4th respondent, requesting for compensation. However, the said representation was not at all considered till date. Hence, this petition.

3. On the other hand, the learned counsel appearing for the official respondents would submit that the appropriate Authority to consider the petitioner's representation is 7th respondent and thus, the petitioner is supposed to have filed his representation before the 7th respondent instead of 4th respondent. Hence, he requests this Court to pass appropriate orders.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the respondent and also perused the entire materials available on record.

5. In view of the above submissions, this Court directs the petitioner to file a fresh representation before the 7th respondent forthwith. In such case, the 7th respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the said representation, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of filing of such representation.
