ORDER

This is the third anticipatory bail application filed by the petitioner before this Court.

Though the earlier anticipatory bail petition of the petitioner was dismissed by my learned predecessor, Hon'ble Justice C.V.Karthikeyan, this petition is listed before this Court pursuant to the orders passed by the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court in Crl.O.P.No.31787 of 2024 on 04.03.2025.

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 147, 294(b), 465, 468, 471, 506(1) of IPC in Crime No.174 of 2023, seeks anticipatory bail.

The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner had forwarded a patta which was forged and he had obtained a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs only) for the same. It is stated that when that was questioned, the petitioner had gone over to the house of the defacto complainant and had threatened him. It is also stated that they had taken away the title deed of the property.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police, while opposing the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner submitted that this is the third anticipatory bail application filed by the petitioner.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

While granting anticipatory bail to the co-accused, this Court had dismissed the anticipatory bail petition filed by this petitioner alone. This Court does not find any change in circumstances or any other reason warranting a change in the view taken by the learned Judge in the earlier order.
