O R D E R

This writ petition is filed for a Mandamus directing the respondents to dispose the representation of the petitioner dated 30.11.2019, wherein and whereby, he seeks for payment of arrears of his Central Freedom Fighters Pension. 1/3

2. According to the petitioner, he had obtained for Central Freedom Fighters Pension from the Ministry of Finance, Government of India on 15.01.1998. Seeking arrears of pension from 18.01.1982, being the date of his application, he made the said representation.

3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the respondents that by letter dated 28.01.2020, the petitioner's counsel was informed by the Under Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs that the petitioner was requested by the Ministry's letter dated 15/01/2020 to submit sanction letter issued by the Ministry at the time of sanction of pension and copy of PPO for further examination/action in this case. Therefore, he submitted that if those documents are furnished, the petitioner's case will be considered. He has also produced a copy of the communication dated 28.01.2020 addressed to the petitioner's counsel.

4. In view of the above, it is for the petitioner to furnish those documents before the 3rd respondent, so as to enable them to consider his case. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the petitioner to furnish those documents before the 3rd respondent either through registered post or in person through his counsel. On receipt of such documents, the 3rd respondent shall consider the request of the petitioner made through representation dated 30.11.2019 and pass orders without loss of further time, in any event, within a period of eight weeks thereafter. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
