ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondent to settle the difference in Medical Leave salary with 6% interest to the petitioners and difference in Gratuity to the 1st petitioner, by considering the petitioners' representation dated 05.06.2025 and the subsequent representation of the 1st petitioner dated 23.08.2025 and the representation of the 2nd petitioner dated 04.07.2025.
2. Mr.R.Balaji, learned Standing Counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondent. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioners brought to the notice of this Court the order passed by a Coordinate Bench of this Court in a similar matter in W.P.No.25610 of 2024 2/6
dated 03.09.2024, wherein this Court had directed the respondent therein to pay interest at the rate of 6% p.a. for the belated payment of terminal benefits to the petitioner therein within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent, though did not dispute the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, however, vehemently opposed for passing of similar order in this Writ petition as well on the ground that, in the case on hand, the claims have been made by the petitioners after a lapse of about twelve years, which is not sustainable.
5. In such view of the matter, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the respective representations of the petitioners dated 05.06.2025, 04.07.2025 and 23.08.2025, in the light of the order dated 03.09.2024 passed by this Court in W.P.No.25610 of 3/6
2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and aggrieved persons, if any.
6. With the above directions, this Writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
