This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the first Respondent to issue separate patta for the land situated in Survey No.69/14 measuring an extent of 0.46 cents Veraiyur Village, Tiruvannamalai Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.07.2025.
2. Heard Mr.M.Mariappan, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.P.Ganesan, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents.
3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is the owner of the property by virtue of a sale deed dated 10.02.2025 registered as document No.1801 of 2025. The petitioner submitted an application seeking issuance of patta in his name. However, instead of granting separate patta, the name of the petitioner was included in the joint patta. In view of the same, the petitioner submitted an online application on 09.07.2025 seeking issuance of separate patta. Since the same was not considered, a representation was made on 11.07.2025 and the same did not evoke any response. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed.
4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction 2/4
to the first respondent to deal with the online application submitted by the petitioner on 09.07.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If there any other interested parties, orders shall be passed after issuing notice and affording opportunity to them. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
