This writ petition has been filed for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 10.06.2019 within a time limit to be fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner was working as Work Assistant and a charge memo came to be issued against him in the year 2016. On completion of the enquiry, a major punishment of dismissal came to be imposed against the petitioner on 30.04.2019. The petitioner has filed an appeal against the said punishment before the respondent on 10.06.2019. The petitioner has approached this Court seeking for a direction to dispose of this appeal.

3.Heard Mr.S.Sivakumar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mrs.K.Bhuvaneswari, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.Taking into consideration the limited prayer that has been sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondent to deal with the appeal filed by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to the respondent along with a copy of the appeal dated 10.06.2019 and also a copy of this order.

5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No Costs.
