ORDER
By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.
2.The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as Grade-II Police Constable in the year 2003. Thereafter, he was promoted to the post of Head Constable in the year 2018. While he was working under third respondent, a criminal case in Crime No.28 of 2022 dated 13.02.2022 was registered under Sections 273 and 337 of IPC for causing accident to the minor boy and he was placed under suspension vide order dated 19.02.2022. Thereafter, by an order dated 20.06.2022, the order of suspension was revoked and he was transferred from Erode to Nilgiris District on 08.11.2024 and thereby, the petitioner had given a representation on 12.11.2024 to the second respondent seeking transfer to Erode. Since the said representation is pending consideration, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of present writ petition.

The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that when the writ petition was listed for admission on 02.01.2025, no interim order was granted and thereby, the petitioner had joined duty in the transferred place at Nilgiris District and nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition. He would further submit that though the petitioner was transferred on administrative grounds, in the event of giving fresh representation by the petitioner, the same will be considered in accordance with law.
5. Recording the submission made by the learned Special Government pleader, the writ petition stands closed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to give a fresh representation to the respondents within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, the respondents shall consider and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks thereafter. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 18.09.2025 raa 3/4
