Mr.Balaji, learned counsel on behalf of Mr.S.Karthikeyan, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice for the respondents and is armed with instructions to enable final disposal of the matter, even at this juncture. Hence, by consent of both learned counsel, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal, even at the stage of admission.

2. Mr.Balaji would state that the respondents have no objection to considering the representation of the petitioner dated 06.10.2023 and disposing the same expeditiously.

3. The prayer in the representation is similar to the prayer in the Writ Petition where a direction is sought to the respondents, authorities of Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board, to issue allotment order for a new flat at Chandrayogi Samathi scheme at Mangalapuram, Chennai - 600 012.

4. In light of the assurance extended by the learned counsel for the respondents, as recorded above, mandamus is issued to R1 to consider representation dated 06.10.2023 filed by the petitioner, hear him and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order.
