PRAYER The Miscellaneous Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to extend the interim bail for three months commencing from 12-10-2025 passed by this Court by order dated 09-07-2025 pending disposal of the above W.M.P.No.88 of 2025 in W.P. No.5475 of 2023.

The present Miscellaneous Petition has been filed to extend the interim bail already granted to the Convict, namely, Siddique Ali @ Sultan, S/o.Deen, CT No.7368, confined at Central Prison, Palayamkottai.
2. This Court, vide order dated 13.10.2023, has granted interim bail to the convict, which was subsequently extended on seven occasions and the same is now due to expire on 11.10.2025.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the premature release proceedings are at their final stage, based on the directions issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Sikkander Vs. The State and Others, Special Leave to Appeal (Crl) No.12784 of 2022.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that the Government is considering the matter positively for the premature release of the convict; however, no final orders have been passed so far. Hence, he has no objection for extension of the interim bail already granted to the convict.
5. In view of the aforesaid submissions and considering the fact that the interim bail already granted to the convict is due to expire on 11.10.2025, this Court is inclined to extend the interim bail for a further period of three months. Accordingly, the interim bail already granted to the convict prisoner is hereby extended for a further period of three months commencing from 11.10.2025 till 10.01.2026.
