The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to conduct a survey of the lands of the petitioner temple measuring acre 1.85 in Dry Survey Number 178/1, Kattukanallur Village, Arani Taluk, and to submit a detailed Survey Plan with Report.
2. Mrs.S.Indhu Bala, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself. 2/6
3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner temple owns an extent of acre 1.85 - Dry Lands in Survey Number 178/1, Kattukanallur Village, Arani Taluk. This being so, two individuals encroached about 25 cents of the aforesaid lands of the temple, relying on bogus documents. Hence, the petitioner remitted necessary charges for the survey of the aforesaid lands on 03.03.2025. However, survey has not been conducted till date. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to conduct a survey in the petitioner's land, within a time frame that may fixed by this Court.
5. Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent seeks four weeks to complete the aforesaid exercise.
6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court directs the respondents to conduct survey in the petitioner's land measuring acre 1.85 in Dry Survey Number 178/1, Kattukanallur Village, Arani Taluk, after giving due notice and opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioners as well as aggrieved persons, if any, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to say, in case of any obstruction being created by third parties, the fifth respondent is at liberty to approach the Police officials, in which case, the Police officials shall render assistance to the fifth respondent to carry out the aforesaid exercise.
8. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
